Final Final!

Digital Alchemy

Since being in digital alchemy I have learned a lot about the digital world more then I knew before. This course has opened my eyes to things that I never known to exist. They’re been assignment and in class activities that I’ve question because I’m like no way could you do this or that. However, those things comes from not knowing. So since I started learning about the things that digital alchemist do, I started to learn what you can do in the digital world.

There were a lot of things that interest me in this course. One of the classes that intriqued me the most was the redlining information and activity that we did. I was shock because I didn’t know with digital facts that we are judge by where we live and they count us out for certain loans. They have an overview on which areas are best and worst to give loans out to. Now I know that we are all judge by the color of our skin in certain places but I didn’t know they deined people certain loans because of where they live. Certain people get certain quality of life depending on where they live also. I’ve had a lot of favorite activities doing the course. One of my favorite projects to participate in was when we had to take pictures of items from a different dimension. The second one was when we focus on Selfie’s making . The third one was playing with Meme. I always wondered how people made them and I finally got to figure it out and make some of my own. Most of the things that I love about this class is the very thing I enjoy doing on a daily basis.

The digital life can be very diffcult if you’re not use to using the computer and exploring different forms of digital arts. The biggest challenge was setting up for my bot to be active. The process was very difficult  and I would’ve never survived the process without Hailey and Marisa oh and the help I recieved from Kelly. The assignment aggravated me but I relaxed once I got it together. I gain a lot of knowledge from each class. I gain the knowldge of meme making, the uses of GIF’s, understanding redlining, the uses and purposes of the gaming industry. The preparation of pictures when you take them at different angles. Another thing that was a challenge for me was the learning how to make GIF’s, I tired to do my best and that’s what I did. There were a lot of information to take in during the semester and I tired my best to keep up with it.

Furthermore, the skills and ideas that will stay with me is the redlining information. When I go to apply for certain things, I will always have in the back of my head are they judging me by where I live instead of the content of my character. I also no longer have to wonder where do they make memes because I now know how to apply myself when it comes generating one. One thing that I remember was at the beginning of the semester where we watch a video and the video showed how many people are doing what, where.. It just pop in my head so I’m writing about it LOL..To know you are being watched without knowing is crazy, weird and scary all at the same. For someone who is pondering taking this class, I will tell them, just have your computer ready and be ready to work and learn things that may be very awakard but informative. Have patient with certain tasks that you have to do and give it your best shot and if you happen to have a teacher like Alan he has awesome TA’s that are always willing to help and get you where you need to be.

Make Bank Reponses to my make bank!
Twitter snap shots, I can’t find the one from the beginning of the semester but I have the one from the end. I used twitter more than I did before because it was an requirement for class where I had to interact with a lot of my classmate for assignments.  However, I rememb me being very involve when we did the Bot assignment. You will start to question a lot of digital information that’s on the website. A short time after I learned about Bot, I saw one of my fb (Facebook) friends say he hope the sneaker bots on eBay didn’t get the sneakers that he wanted. I just was in shock because I’ll like how can a computerized bot secure a pair of sneakers, so it was very intreating.  Screenshot 2018-05-06 13.59.23

E Lit is life!

E-Lit link

The title of the article was called

Why E-Books and Kindles don’t innovate writing

This e-lit talks about different phases of E- poetry

Phase 1 December 20, 2011- September 1, 2013

E-Lit started as a daily blog and the editor was committed to reading and writing about a poem a day. Instead of the writing settling for a 100 word count they wrote about 250-300 word per poem. The person was faithfully to the daily constraint for 500 days in a row

Phase 2 September 1, 2013 -December 31, 2016

I loe E-Poetry was launch on WordPress, creating resources for readers and opening its blog up to guest

Phase 3 January 1, 2017

It was powered by a grant by the Puerto Rico brach of the NEH. I love poetry is on a mission yo expand its public outreach.

  • translation resources to Spanish
  • redesign its website
  • building resources for multiple audience , many for k-12 students , teachers, colleges, faculty
  • Coverage of electronic literature scholars and project around the world

e-lit tablet

I pick this E-Lit because I was introduce to an exact same method of poetry when I was introduce and took a class this semester called Advance Poetry Writing this semester. The Professor I had was Dr. Rich and she was very well into her craft. She was so into it that she wanted to embedded it into her students.  What she did was made us read a poem a day and write a response to it in these journals that she gave us. We had to pick a poet per month that we were in school and write about their poems. We didn’t have a word count like the I love Poetry E -lit did but we just had to write a response about what we think about the poem, sensory in the poem, like taste, touch see and hear. Did the poem have a story line, was it rhetorical and things of that nature.

So to read this e-lit was very good and to know that she’s not the only insane person in this world about poetry was amazing insane-7251

Bot or Not

Bot or Not?

Bot are things that comes from the computer basis machine and to be not a bot means the material comes from a actually person.

We played this game in class to see if we can see if the poemsbot or not poems were made from a bot or not. My results sucked the first time leaving me with a score out of 1/5 so I played again because I wasn’t satisfy with my results and got a 4/5… Yay me….

We went to another website to see what the results was about me being a Bot or not and the results rang in at 36% of me being a Bot.. Very disturbing but it’s cool. I know I’m real Results of me being a Bot or Not?

We created our own Bot that can communicate with our classmates or random people. This setup was a lil crazy but with the help of Kelly I survive the process of creating my Bot. My twitter app url is My twitter app

However the bot machine still gave me problems when setting it up in columns so I had to visit Haily and Merissa on my

“No Class Day”

to gain more clarity on how to fix my bot and get it up and running so it can tweet ou.t emojiMe and Merrisa fix the column problems but we ran into a nothing black wall because it wouldn’t let me send out a test tweet because they computer kept reading error but wasn’t telling us what it was.

So we had to figure out what the problems was because we was clueless as to why it wouldn’t work. Then Merssia came up the idea to regenerating the consumer key and secret and Wala it work. Once that process was over. I was able to let my bot tweet, tweet out. Happy Bot Tweeting!!!

Divided by Redline

The person that I had the questions for didn’t respond but my audio will be recorded down below.

Clean water game

This week we learned about Redlining.. Redlining is the practice of denying services, either directly or through selectively raising prices, to residents of certain areas based on the racial or ethnic composition of those areas.

What I choose to observe through my redlining observation was the phone company that has cell towers available in my area . It really puzzles me how these type of things really goes on and how people allow it to happen. I can not believe that in this day and age that people are able to  deny people service because of where they decide to live. They do it in such a conniving way that people may not even know it. It make you thin will  really succeed in this world because of the color of my color, the cloths on my back and where I decide to lay my head whether if it’s my choice or not.   Cell Tower

People can only understand redlining if it’s introduce and explain to them because I didn’t know about it to my Professor taught me about…What redoing actually look like Redlining-5748ef623df78ccee1c809d2

This can be a game board because you can bye dice cubes. Shake them up and throw them across the surface and where ever you land will be the cell company that will be your providing. No matter  where you live and what you like you will have to deal with that cell phone company wherever your dice land. People will switch providers for the moment to see how it is to be under different companies like T-mobile, Version, AT&T, Simply Mobile and Sprint…GOOD LUCK!

The game I choose to play was Pac Man which is an Arcade game

This game was published in 1983

Developer~Namco Limited

Theme ~ Arcade

Pac-Man is the type of game that you have to practice to win.

I was having a very hard time playing this game on my computer because I couldn’t maneuver as much as I could have if I was in a Arcade or playing it on a game console. The pac man was moving very slow and I was easily getting caught by the moving ghost.

Instruction of the game

The player navigates Pac-Man through a maze containing various dots, known as Pac-Dots, and four multi-colored ghosts: Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde. The goal of the game is to accumulate points by eating all the Pac-Dots in the maze, completing that ‘stage’ of the game and starting the next stage and maze of Pac-dots. Between some stages, one of three intermission animations plays. The four ghosts roam the maze, trying to kill Pac-Man. If any of the ghosts hit Pac-Man, he loses a life; when all lives have been lost, the game is over. Pac-Man is awarded a single bonus life at 10,000 points by default—DIP switches inside the machine can change the required points to 15,000 or 20,000, or disable the bonus life altogether. The number of lives can be set to 1 life only or up to five lives maximum. High score cannot exceed 999,990 points; players may exceed that score, but the game keeps the last 6 digits. There are 256 levels in total, however, when the game was made, the memory ran out at 256, so it is only half loaded while the other half is a jumble of letters and digits.

The backstory to Pac Man

Pac-Man was one of the first games developed by this new department within Namco. The game was developed primarily by a young employee named Toru Iwatani over the course of 1 year, beginning in April 1979, employing a nine-man team. It was based on the concept of eating, and the original Japanese title is Pakkuman (パックマン), inspired by the Japanese onomatopoeic phrase paku-paku taberu (パクパク食べる),[40][41] where paku-paku describes (the sound of) the mouth movement when widely opened and then closed in succession

Iwatani has repeatedly stated that the character’s shape was inspired by a pizza missing a slice,[10] he admitted in a 1986 interview that this was a half-truth and the character design also came from simplifying and rounding out the Kanji character for mouth, kuchi ().[44] Iwatani attempted to appeal to a wider audience—beyond the typical demographics of young boys and teenagers. His intention was to attract girls to arcades because he found there were very few games that were played by women at the time.[45] This led him to add elements of a maze, as well as cute ghost-like enemy characters. Eating to gain power, Iwatani has said, was a concept he borrowed from Popeye.[46] The result was a game he named Puck Man[47] as a reference to the main character’s hockey puck shape.[48] Later in 1980, the game was picked up for manufacture in the United States by Bally division Midway,[44] which changed the game’s name from Puck Man to Pac-Man in an effort to avoid vandalism from people changing the letter ‘P’ into an ‘F’ to form the word fuck.[47][48][49] The cabinet artwork was also changed and the pace and level of difficulty increased to appeal to western audiences.[47

Game Wars

I am not a gamer however,  I love to play games via play board though if I had to choose a way I like to enjoy them. In my lifetime I have played many games but not to many on my phone.  I am more of a hands on person when it comes to games. I love many board games like trouble , connect 4 and Scattergories. When I was a little girl my favorite games system were Nintendo and on that system I loved to play Donkey Kong, Crash Band Bandicoot and Super Mario brothers. I absolutely adore these games more than any other game I’ve came across even still to this day.

My favorite board games and its goal

scatter alchy.jpgScatteriogories

Each game of Scattergories consists of three rounds. Before the start of the game, choose three lists which will be used during the rounds.

Pass each player a folder, and clip the three lists inside in the order in which they will be played. Make sure that all players have A) the same lists, and that B) the lists are in the same order.

Begin each round by rolling the letter die, and start the timer. If you roll a letter that had already been rolled during this game, re-roll.

Players attempt to create an answer that begins with the letter on the die for each of the categories on their list.

Answers must begin with the letter on the Scattergories dice

Players take turns reading their lists. Cross out any answers that matched another player’s. Players score one point for each answer not crossed out.

Creative answers are allowed, but any player has the option of challenging an answer. If an answer is challenged, all players, including the player whose answer is being challenged, vote on the acceptability. Majority rules. In the event of a tie, the vote of the challenged player does not count.

The player with the highest score wins the game. In the event of a tie, the tied players play a tie-breaker round.

connect 4Connect 4

To win Connect Four you must be the first player to get four of your colored checkers in a row either horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

Trouble is a simple game for 2-4 players that requires a specialized board containing a pop-die roller (called POP-O-MATIC). According to Trouble game rules, the goal of the game is to be the first player to move all four of your pieces from “Home” to “Finish.”

Game Play

Chose a color, and place all four of your colored pieces in your “Home” spot. Roll the die (this involves pressing the dome of the pop-die roller, causing the die to jump and roll) to determine which player goes first. The player with the highest roll goes first and play proceeds clockwise (to the left).

These Nintendo video game were very interesting because each level was fun and I was very excited to get to the next level.

Super Mario Brothers super mario brothers

My approach on game play sucked. When we first started to communicate about games , I couldn’t think of not one because I am not a game player. Once everyone started to name their games things started to come back to mind when I did play games. Most of the games people were naming I was clueless about.

Gifts or GiPhy

Daughter’s Audition 200w_d

This was when my daughter was six years old, we went to a audition to be on the  Disney Channel..These are a few pictures from when we were there. Before, between and after photos

I am having a very hard time trying to put memes and gif together that I just want to give up. Can anyone shed some light on how to do so. I missed one week of class and feel like I missed a few more because I am having such a hard time with  GIF.. Meme was fun and easy to create but GIF are very complicated. I am willing to redo my blog when I get more information on how to do it..

I see that GIFTs or GIphy can be very fun and entertaining when you don’t have to make them yourself. I rather just enjoy them than to make them.

I NEED HELP!!! HELP ME!!! I don’t like feeling lost……
